I am new here and looking for information about gluten, lactose and MSG free foods and how best to use them.I eat gf bread because I am diabetic and it helps to keep my blood sugar down, but I also do all baking for a friend with gluten, lactose and MSG Hyper allergies and I constantly search for better recipes.

Hi Squiffy

There are a lot of recipes in different places, depending on what kind of meal you want. Cooking from scratch is usually the best way to go, as the ready-made gf foods tend to be full of additives, too much sugar etc.

Hugh FW has done a cookbook called "Light and Easy", which has lactose and (mostly) gluten free recipes, "Deliciously Ella" may also give you some ideas.  Have a look at Indian cooking and other countries that tend not to rely on wheat

I am very surprised to read that you eat gf bread because you are diabetic. Modern advice on managing, and possibly reversing Type 2, seems to be to avoid refined starch as much as possible (?).

I think you have to be careful because GF does not always mean healthier or less sugar. In fact often quite the opposite with bread and pre made food.
