The term "GF"

I have noticed on a glutefree message board that the term "GF" is used in every sentence relating to eating out/ is it "GF"/ is this food "GF"/ prescriptions etc.

Why does a coeliac have to use this term with other coeliac's? surely they know what they are talking about or is it reassurance?.

Probably reassurance Tony. Or perhaps just plain old habit as it can seem as if everything needs to be prefaced by #gf after being diagnosed as a Coeliac...hmmm?

What I see is more an obsession than habit or anything else its as if they have to have "GF" or 200ppm of gluten for some reason.

Maybe soon we will see them argueing "GF" or "LG" , could be ammusing.
