I'm new to this forum. It's the most applicable forum I can find for cataract surgery complications. I do have a question....
I had cataract surgery on my 1st eye 2 weeks ago and have corneal edema as a result. Has anyone here had to deal with this, and is so, could you please tell me your story?
Much thanks..

Hello, I do not have my own experience but my very closed relative has had the similar problem after the cataract operation. This is one of the rare complications but it can occur to some body with the underlying corneal problem. There are a few things like drying with hair dryer, putting sodium chloride eye gel/drop etc. You should be seen by the corneal specialist for further treatment. If it does not recovery in about 6 months or more you may need corneal transplant. with best wishes.
