Hello, I had cataract surgery 7 days ago and I haven't washed my hair yet, I'm going to leave it a few more days then wash it being careful not to get water or shampoo in eye

Use swim goggles as they stop the watter running in eyes. I did

I mastered showering and washing my hair with both eyes shut after my first trabulectomy, if you’re sure you can keep your eyes shut then you should be ok.

I bought an eye patch but left washing hair for a week. If you have a shower wash hair backwards so shampoo does not go over face.

I can do my hair over the bath (which doesn’t have a shower head), with jugs of water, without getting soap in my eyes. You might find that a possibility, or you could see if a hair dresser would wash it for you without styling it, in one of their lay-back sinks.

No bath but might try over the kitchen sink 👍

I’m sure that could work well, too.

Hi, I had a trab in June. Was told to not wash hair for 2 weeks. However, I got my hubby to assist me. Sat in bath and he very carefully washed my hair from behind. I had my eye sheild on and a towel over face. Did not get water/shampoo in my eye once! Good luck.

Hello. It is best to leave washing your hair for at least a week. Also recommended to wash it with your head back rather than bringing your head forwards. Not an easy request for many but hope you find a way without getting water or shampoo in your eyes.
