Pregnancy and Monopost

Hey everyone,

I didn't expect I would be writing this but here we go.

I have become pregnant, not planned. I do have glaucoma, it's stabilized, but I am using monopost and the package leaflet says to not use it during pregnancy. I've googled something, and the information seems to be 50/50. I found out during this weekend, so I could't call my doctor, but as soon as I could, I called them. I have just wanted a quick consultation on what to do next.

Unfortunately, I don't live in a country where the health care is the best - the doctor, through the nurse, said to stop using it and to come when my next appoitment is (which is in November) and that I should get my eye pressure checked from time to time at my local eye doctor.

The problem is, I need to make an online reservation if I want to get my eye pressure checked at my local eye doctor, and the next free appoitment is in October 15th. I can not just walk in there to get it checked.

I am scared, cause I don't wana loose my eye sight but I don't wanna hurt my baby either. I want to see my baby grow up, but I want to see him/her grow up healthy. I am not sure what to do next, I feel like I've tried all of my options, but at the same time, I feel like my situation remains unsolved and either me or the baby are in risk, which I do not want. For context, I live in Slovakia, in Europe. If that helps.

You might take a look at the Reddit group, here:

There have been quite a few posts asking this question. Some have said their pressures remained ok while pregnant without using drops. Others have said that their doctors recommended SLT (laser procedure) to avoid using drops. It seems that the beta blockers (e.g., Timolol) are the ones to avoid. Other drops are less clear.
