latanoprost vs timolol

My 85 year old mother has been on latanoprost for 2 months. She developed a condition where her left eye now looks inwards towards her nose. It may be palsy of the sixth nerve. Has anyone else ever had similar symptoms? Also, is anyone having good results using timolol instead? Thank you for sharing your experience with us.

I am on both latanaprost and timolol drops and over the years my eye lids have become heavier and seem a bit droopier!

At the moment the addition of timolol has helped keep my pressures down but slightly slowed my heart rate!

sorry to hear about your mother I have used both

And had no problems I suggest you seek advice from GP/Eye consultant

I am using Timolol as well as lanaprost, the timolol seems to be giving me side effects (I am 80) not experienced with lanaprost alone I get sore and dry mouth also hearing loss, tiredness and have had joint pain which has lessened now after 3 weeks of starting this eye gel. Not sure I want to continue with these as do absorb into the body
