I have been on Saflutan for a few years now like you I put one drop in each eye at night. Only recently I have been having trouble opening my eyes when I wake up the lids feel as if they are stuck to my eye, a drop of lubrication sorts them out. I am worried that a may damage the surface of my eye. There is no sign of them been crusty. I also take Brinzolamide three drops per day.
Could be blepharitis or dry eyes check with your consultant, I get tha, I used a heated eye mask and eye wipes on mine. As I say check with your consultant first, best wishes.
Hi there, as mentioned above it could be blepharitis. Heated eye masks or warm flannels can help with this. There are also lubricating drops available, which you can speak to your GP or pharmacist about, and a gel drop can help at night. Humidifiers can also help with the winter months due to central heating making them dryer. It would also be worth contacting your eye specialist to see if they have any further suggestions or recommendations. We do also have a booklet on our website which you might find helpful - glaucoma.uk/product/blephar...
