hi does anyone have same problem as my self having my Glucoma eye pressure check. Done by my eye consultant I find it hard to keep my eye open wide to get a pressure reading. The numbers are always high than when done with hand hold device. I am more relaxed with hand hold device the consultant said he doesn’t trust the hand hold device. I have just had a second laser treatment done as first didn’t work. I got wait 6 weeks for my pressure check any tips or advice please would be lovely thanks 😊

I have droopy eyelids and struggle to keep my eye open wide enough for the pressure test, my consultant usually gently lifts my eyelid up for me whilst he does the test. He’s told me the puff test is not as accurate as the test that touches your eye as the puff machines themselves lose their calibration after a while and are not recalibrated often enough. If your consultant doesn’t feel happy lifting your eyelid, perhaps you could ask to do it yourself? Difficult I know when you have to keep still, but might be worth a try.

i don't have issues with my eyelid, but puffer results have been very inaccurate for me, particularly on my R eye where i had a vitrectomy
