DVLA Test - how long to get results?

Hi,

I've got my first DVLA test on Weds so any tips would be very welcome - I'm using a Henson 9000. I was also wondering how long people have had to wait for verdict from DVLA. I need to know sooner rather than later as a someone is waiting to sell me their car!

thanks

Thanks - that's very helpful. I'm supposed to be going on holiday as well in a few weeks - not great timing!

Hi - I hope all goes well with the test - you can have 3 attempts with the best result being submitted. Ask for a copy of the test results - if Specsavers will not give it to you, you will need to make a subject access request to the DVLA.

I got the DVLA's determination a couple of weeks after doing my test so hopefully you will not have too long to wait. There is a contact email address for the DVLA glaucoma section you could use if you don't get the outcome of the test within a reasonable time.

Thanks for the replies and other helpful information on here. It was good to know what to expect and also my rights. I did the test twice (too many false positives the first time) and was able to get a copy of the tests. No points missed so looking good for driving.
