DVLA VISUAL TEST AGAIN

DVLA has sent me to another spacers-saver to do another eye test after receiving my private result and confirming that was okay, but why can't they just accept the one from spacesaver too? Doing the examination every day is very nervous and anxious.

I feel for you. I can understand that it would make you feel nervous and anxious.

I had a vitrectomy in May and still cannot drive, and now have macula oedema due to an eye drop so the consultant told me … so have to instil 4 different drops a day. My DVLA test with Specsavers has been deferred until the earliest November.. I am dreading that too. I’m sure that the oedema won’t be resolved by then either.

I wish you well and feel sure you’ll be ok. 🍀

Yes I agree very nervous and anxious especially going to a place where you don't know and you don't know the people, best wishes and good luck, hope you don't have to travel very far, my nearest Specsavers is 30 miles there and 30 miles back in either direction. Good luck.

Was the Specsavers you paid for a trial test on the DVLA list? If not it's worthwhile paying for another test at one that is on the DVLA list and if you have a date then you will will have a list of the nearest ones, if you pay for another test at the one you are going to use for ththe real test and that ìs ok then when you do the real test youu should be ok.

Be aware that some Specsavers are not observing all the correct procedures and the DVLA are now apparently aware of this, but whether they are doing anything about it is doubtfull. The glaucomaqueries@dvla.gov.uk helpline was very useful to me when I had a bad test at a dodgy Specsavers.

Yes that's good if you go back to the same Specsavers, as you passed last time you should be ok for the official DVLA test
