do I had pressure test again ( 3rd. In as many weeks gone up to 40 both eyes has Felix tests basically eyes are not doing so well . I was put on steroids for an infection I had which raised pressure too much so now specialist has put me on diamond pills and alphagan drops including drops I’m already taking brinzoquon & xalatan .I have to go back next week for more pressure check and potentially emergency surgery if eyes do not go down ( trab surgery) all a bit scary 😦 either way I’m up for surgery in the new year even if pressure stabilises as it’s too high … any one had successfully had trab surgery? And how long does that surgery successful for ? It’s a lot of money I have to spend which sucks but yeah has to be done

I really feel for you. I have not yet had trab but only a matter of time before I’ll need it. Lots of great folks here have had trab. Just use the search to read their stories. But don’t get scared since there will always be some bad stories no matter the surgery.

Ive had a trab, went really well, no side effects. My pressures were only around 12/16 but still getting damage to optic nerve. After trab it’s down to 8 and the eyesight in that eye was the same as before the op within a week. So well worth it, I’m eye drop free in that eye now which is a relief. I was told the trab would last between 10 and 20 years. Good luck with yours if you go ahead.

I hope so it’s the case with me my pressure is quite high thou has been for a while why they don’t do it sooner but I suppose in some cases it’s the last option:( I got damage not sure bout optic nerve but loosing perrifal vision a bit and my feild test did not come back so good more damage to one eye than the other I just hope they can save my sight 🤕

I think they try and leave you on the drops for as long as they can, if they are working ok, but clearly they are not working for you. A trab should stop things getting any worse.
