Implant

Hello, I'm going to have an implant (Baerveldt) within next hours.

My glaucoma is juvenil open angle, and my IOP is out of control, with previous trabeculectomy failed.

Is there anybody with implant in the forum? Could you please tell me about yout experience?

Wouldn’t be normal if you weren’t worried but I’m sure you’re in good hands with your doctors and they’ll be doing their absolute best to help you. They’ll be wanting the best outcome they can possibly achieve!

Hello!

Only to inform, I had the implant surgery and it seems it was Ok (no early complications, so happy), but last weeks I have high IOP and I'm on medication to try to decrease it.

So, little by little!

I have had the Baerveldt since 2013. It is the best thing ever! I have Uveitic Glaucoma in my left eye since trauma.
