Dark Circles and hollow under the eyes and facial swelling on Prednisone.

Prednisone and darkening under eyes as well as moonface. Does this go away when dosage is down to 5mg. a day maintenance with ABPA?

Yes mine goes away as i decrease doses of prednisone.thankfully.

These side effects of prednisone are experienced by many patients, and they will reduce if you can reduce your dose.

Successful after 10 wks. on itaconazole...able to reduce to 8mg. daily and will go to 5mg. Hopefully.

I've just reduced from 10mg/day to 7.5mg/day & as yet I still have leg/ankle swelling & moonface, but I'm due to drop to 5mg in a couple of weeks, so I'm hopeful I'll start to see some improvement.
