I’ve been suffering with chronic IBS pain for the last 5 years. The pain is so debilitating and crippling. I’m in so much pain, I get multiple flare ups every day. I feel so alone with the pain. Plus being in my 20’s, doesn’t help, I’m supposed to be healthy. But I’m not. I’ve tried every medication under the sun, seen countless drs, seen dieticians/ gastroenterologists, no one can seem to help. I feel defeated and depressed. Can anyone relate?

Hi I’m sure if you have seen many a doctor about your issues they would rule anything else out but are you sure it’s IBS? There are autoimmune diseases like chrohns and colitis that could be considered. Also, celiac disease. If generally IBS is the cause then you could try Symprove. It’s helped me massively, although I didn’t get pains etc beforehand.
That’s the thing, I’m not sure it’s IBS, I think it’s something else, I’m so fed up of the pain, it’s constant, I can barely do anything
My sister has Chrohns and this causes many pains and cramps. If you haven’t discussed the possibility of having IBD with your doctor then you should. Ask for a blood test so your inflammation levels can be checked. A colonoscopy is maybe ultimately what you could need. Go back to the docs. It’s not normal for IBS to give you that much pain on a daily basis. Look on Chrohns & Colitis UK website and read up on the conditions
