Invisible illness chronic IBS

I've had IBS for the last 12yrs I suffer with it day in day out.Ive had every test available private and the NHS.It totally takes over my life,i become severely depressed ,and it is taken by doctors and Gastrolergist as oh it's ONLY IBS.It is totally debilitating for such a lot of people.Has anyone got any suggestions ?

Have you tried an elimination diet? That helped me. There's a good app where you can record your food, drinks, medication, environment, stress and symptoms, which helps narrow down what may be triggering it. Or have you tried medication, I.e omeprazole?

Yes i have been on the Fodmap diet now for 7wks not that it's made a bit of difference.I see my dietician at the beginning of July so I'll see what she says not that I hold out much hope
