Does anyone know what the long term prognosis is for fnd?

I would say thatt as you are obviously young your prognosis should be good. You will need to work with a psychologist experienced in treating emotional trauma. It will be long term. years not months.

I am sorry to say there really is no way of telling what the long term prognosis it. There are many reasons people have symptoms and that may influence the long term effects one way or another. Many do seem to find coping strategies to help though. Research is being done and they are finding bits of the puzzle. There is hope. What are your symptoms?
It started with horrific shooting pain down right leg which has now resulted in drop foot. Sometimes I can walk relatively ok but other days my foot drags behind. Similar with middle 3 fingers on my left hand. Then numbness/tingly in other foot/hand. Blurred vision in left eye. Bladder problems. Sometimes the pain is so bad I'm in tears. Thanks

Are you on pain medication? Recent research is finding a medication called LDN has been beneficial for this type of nerve pain. They think it works off of another molecular pathway. It may be worth having a discussion with your doctor. It does sound as though your main symptom is pain. You also may look into RSD or CRPS. (Chronic Regional Pain Syndrome.)
