Hi Kat_Arina

Yes I get terrible pains in my head they are normally smack bang in the middle and run back to my neck and shoulders sometimes I do feel like 1000s of spiders crawling over my face and head and the right side of my face goes numb it’s not very pleasant

As for painkillers I’m on 15mgs MST morning and night and gabapentin 900mg x3 times a day I’m on other meds but there for other stuff

I find gabapentin really helpful it eases the headaches and allows me to move and it takes away the all over burning pain I suffered like I was being attacked my fire bee’s

I hope this helps

Yes, without meds I get disabling migraines, feels like someone has put an axe or machete in top of my head above my left eye and then connected it to the mains or a battery wich pulsates painful electrical signals to my neck/spine is the best way i can describe it 🫤Fortunately for me after some trial an error GP put me on topirimate, usually an epilepsy treatment and I cut some other triggers previously such as caffeine, cocoa. It significantly helps me and has had a knock on effect to some of my other symptoms too.

i dont have it in my head but do have it in feet legs and arms and face . My gp has prescribed pregabalin which helps with nerve pain. My feet are still bad but legs arms and face loads better . Worth a try? You need to have at least 200 mg daily for it to be effective and it takes a week or two to reallly kick in. ☺️

hi, I to have FND and I have experienced crawling skin, tremors, migraines (light and movement) pins and needles in hands. And various other symptoms but I always get them checked out in case it’s not FND. It’s interesting that it’s your brain and the signals it sends through your nerves. Gabapentin is useful but I have an adverse reaction to this brings on stroke like symptoms. I have had referrals for all these and was amazed the fact I ended up in neurology. And was told most neurology cases are migraines and second most cases is FND (I had never heard of FND before) I have had migraines before maybe one a year but now it’s more like one a month ( mine is like my brain bashing against my scull ). I tried physio, hydro therapy and neuro-physio and found neuro helped me as I had to learn how to walk again. Also been diagnosed with chronic pain in various areas most are labelled medically unknown was on opioid patches but had to stop as they stopped me breathing (was deemed life threatening) now on paracetamol and nefopam and just been put on pregabalin for the tremors. Don’t forget FND has 200+ symptoms and can affect people differently, I attended a meeting with other FND sufferers and not one person was the same . I have walking, talking and memory issues (main items) but others had been in wheelchairs others couldn’t talk one lost the use of their hands. It was good to see first hand the variety.sorry I seem to be rambling. Hope you find the answers you seek. Kevin

I've had vibrations in my head and muscle twitching on my scalp. I'm on 20mg of Amitriptyline which seems to calm things down a bit.
