Another way to release tension .. through touch?

The link below, an interview between Francis McGlone and Rangan Chatterjee explores the role of touch. Some FND patients are hypersensitive to touch, even finding it difficult to wear certain normal clothing materials, and for others touch can trigger shaking or pain.. but maybe it can be harnessed to tone down these reactions through tension release. Worth trying.

I find that the technique that a physical therapist uses where you press were it is tender for a time then release it works for me. I get tightness in my neck and shoulders. For my legs and feet it makes things worse. Stretching works better for my lower body. Stretching can sometimes make the neck worse sometimes it improves it. Unfortunately I have to try each thing to see if it will help or not. I do go to a chiropractor for my neck and back on occasion and if they do things right it does improve my neck mobility and overall pain.
