Hi friends, thank you for the replies and welcomes. I have a letter from my consultant detailing quite harrowing things I suffer. Hard to read. 'difficulties in daily living'. So hard to read about myself.
Waiting on physio and psych letters as per referral. Is there anyone else I should contact for advice/help?
Thank all of you who have replied. Means a lot.

So sorry to hear that your consultant has found your health in a distressing state, which is hard to read about ..but to know you are getting the NHS attention you deserve is something, and that treatment is on its way even better. I appreciate that the news will make you ask daunting questions about your future in education. You may like to contact your union to find out how things might proceed for teachers in your position whether you are currently in school or not.
I always recommend seeing an Occupational Therapist - really help you work out how to do the things you want to do (and all the things you have to do in order to do them). Often very pragmatic and help you where you are in terms of impairments etc (ie no waiting for x to get a bit better). They usually take a very holistic view of your health and wellbeing.
Hi, yes it can be very difficult to read a consultant’s letter stating your life story and symptoms in a cold clinical style.
Wellbeing, CBT (talking therapy) and physio are the way to go next. That together with understanding and support from your family and friends will see you through this. Be patient with yourself. You are not alone.
Thinking of you at this time, the hard times can feel so low. There is help out there.
I want to echo the recommendation of an Occupational therapist. This has been the biggest help for me. Every issue I have that seems too Minor for others to treat my OT gets to work finding a therapy to help. Example I have right side fine motor issues, to anyone looking on they wouldn’t know but the OT doesn’t need to investigate so much as to just believe me and get on with finding solutions.
