Work capability assessment

Would you believe I'm still waiting for my work capability assessment to come from the decision makers, I know everything was returned to them on the 22nd August and I've still not heard anything , I've been asking what's going on for weeks now all I'm told some delay for what reason noone seems to know ,maybe noone has heard of fnd . Who know what's going on .Hopefully I will hear tomorrow fingers crossed.

If there's one thing I've learned since my FND diagnosis it is you have to be an advocate for yourself. Give yourself credit for every achievement at every step, get the assessment in was an achievement getting it assessed properly will be another. Keep going!

Hi Greencottage Thank you it always makes me worry when things are taking longer to come back its just wondering what's going tobe said or even know if the decision maker knows about FND .

Try not to overthink it as thinking negatively may make your symptoms worse. Do you know how long it should take? It maybe that they are within the time frame (yet naturally it wouldn't seem that way from your prespective). Be kind to yourself.

There are very long delays at the DWP. I have a friend who put in her PIP renewal nearly 6 months ago who hasn't heard anything, apart from an initial text acknowledgement that the form was received. Part of the issue is that they are moving staff to deal with the migration of legacy benefits onto Universal Credit. So everything else is getting pushed back.
