Check out fibromyalgia as well as many of us have both as do I, it can affect your heart but this needs checking never ignore heart issues always get this checked out. Www.fmaware.org and there’s a National Fibromyalgia association in England as well. Good luck see what you think

Hi I talked with someone once who had Fibromyalgia and they were told that it is another condition under the same FND `Umbrella' of symptoms. This person refused to acknowledge it as part of FND and therefore did not get any Therapies offered.

As for the heart rate issues, yes, you should have them medically checked out to be safe. And you can check online to see what your `safe' range of heartrates are, lowest - highest according to you weight, age etc. Remember heartrate, blood pressure, cortisone (energy hormone), adrenaline (activity hormone), general hormones fluctuate hundreds of times a day depending on what we are doing and when.

However, bear in mind that the bodies voluntary nervous system is controlled by the brain and it is fundamentally the brain that is confused by nerve signals in FND. There are people out there with heart symptoms, asthma symptoms, digestion symptoms, speech symptoms, epilepsy symptoms, blackout symptoms, panic attack symptoms, depression symptoms etc and these are being treated medically as if they are genuine specific conditions (because they are seen as harmful to health) and not classed as FND, when in fact some are undiagnosed FND and causing the body to go a bit crazy at times!

That said, the core vital organs like heart, lungs, liver, kidneys etc are the Autonomic nervous system and should not be affected by FND. Of course, you can influence your; breathing, activity, sleep, diet, emotional responses etc. These slight control tweaks you can make along the way, coupled with the daily stresses of having FND anyway, will affect the body's ability to be calm, efficient & function adequately.

When we make poor self-management choices (unavoidable sometimes) the body's compensatory changes increase (temporarily or permanently), usually making everything worse, but not always - either way FND gets us into a vicious circle of boom-bust scenarios!

Think of the film title `Something's gotta give' - for me that usually means, working out the new triggers and compromising on certain things.

Look for the calm in the Storm!

I have fibromyalgia and I was having low blood pressure high heart rate blackouts resting hr 170 creates a ton of left jaw shoulder neck arm heart chest pain I’m now on heart meds for it but nothing except relearning how to breathe wil fix it. Panic disorder is common FND

For me there is a link between FND and heart, when I'm having a bad angina day, my symptoms are worse. But I had first heart attack 2011 and started with FND 2017. So it's not like FND caused my heart issues. But please don't ignore other symptoms. Take care.
