Very interesting. Ironic that he's a psychologist. Although my own psychologist also is convinced my problem is not psychogenic, especially after he witnessed what they call a "seizure", which looks exactly like a stroke. It's the same with my physio - he can feel organic dysfunction in my body (twisted ribs, lumps in fascia). He said he's appalled by the medical profession. But the neuropsychiatrist would not back down so I've had to say bye-bye to him! If you read the book How Doctors Think by Jerome Groopman it's obvious how we got into this mess...
He's a she I heart physios. How Doctors Think is beyond me sometimes but thank heavens mine is lovely.
A very interesting article, it certainly explains a lot. My issues weren't neurological, as they don't look for other causes or believe anything else could exist as in my cases it's easy to fall into this trap!
