Hi, My name is CaptainSafetyBake I am a youtuber and former vocalist/Solo Musician and I quit making music because I started having Involuntary moments. Doctors could not figure it out and I was even told I was faking it. Then I found a doctor who told me about FND and told me my movements seem to be this condition.
Hi I am CaptainSafetyBake and I have FND - Functional Neurol...
Hi I am CaptainSafetyBake and I have FND
welcome! I just want to encourage you on this road. I have experienced huge leaps in my recovery but it took a while. Glad you are here!!
Welcome!
I won't get into my opinions on FND. I will say, if you have doubts or anything, check out my past posts, ask questions either to the community or myself, and find time for yourself.
If you enjoy medical research, I advise doing that. It helped me a ton. Granted, I do not have FND, at one point I was told it was.
All this said, welcome! I'm sorry to hear you lost the ability to make music from the movement issues. I will say, you are in the right place. Thile community here really helped in my development and understanding of neuro disorders or diseases.
Best,
Matt
Thank you!
Musician here with FND as well. I can still play when I have the energy although I have trouble with drums, especially right leg/foot on the kick because of tremors. Hard to control a wah wah pedal as well. Hope you can begin to heal now that you have some answers. Knowing is part of the battle. I’ve started looking into EDMR and bilateral music. I think it will be helpful, maybe it could help you as well.
Have you only the one opinion? I was mis diagnosed and actually have lyme disease and hemiplegic migraine. Question Everything.
This my 4th opinion.
What are All the differentials and have you consulted with a lyme literate medic? Can do no harm to cross it off +
