Entering a strange and scary world....

After 4 months of vicious chronic vertigo a final Dx was made of CD/FND FMD.

I am trying to learn all I can to help get through this. Im having trouble.

What would you have liked to have known when you were first dx'd? What bits of info or advice would have made your acceptance and treatment more effective?

Thanks, blessings to all.

How to treat it and what to expect, referred to people who could help us with our fnd symptoms not just given diagnoses and referred to websites or rehab who didnt have a clue - all of that would have been helpful.

Is buy-in required for effective treatment, that could be problematic. How long have you been dealing with this Dx. Thank you.

To recognise fully at the time that I was being given the brush off with a negligent ‘diagnosis’ and the courage to give greater question to lazy physician and therefore hopefully be further along now in finding answers.

Thank you for your responses. I have my follow up with primary this friday. I expect that I will have even more questions then. I was not thrilled with the way t he Dr told me about this issue. I can see where alot of panic would have never been raised had he not been so abrupt. Never saw him before or since. Thanks again, I do aprecaite the input.

Pretty much according to the ‘literature’, yes, buy-in is required for treatment to be effective, I believe.
