Hi, can anyone provide any information on this procedure which I am scheduled to have done in a few weeks under a local anesthetic and I am somewhat worried about it. Althoug I am a diabetic 11, which is well controlled, I also have sufferred from a high Blood pressure which rockets whenever I head towards any eye treatments. I have had three blocks of panretinal at various times in the last two years. At present I do manage quite well with limited vision in one eye and quite honestly I am more than happy to plod along as I am. I also have had a triple by pass and for the last 2 years have a 90% blockage in the main carteroid artery [mri scan] in the neck so I do wish whenever possible to avoid stress and anxiety. Thoughts would really be appreciated. Thanks.
