That drunk feeling!!

Today I feel drunk! My head is being pulled downward. And my eyes are blurry.

I don’t drink at all. I quit 5 years ago. I really hate this feeling. I’d like to know How you cope with this symptom?

I too have that feeling most days. Sadly I can’t offer any answers as this is the one thing I haven’t been able to understand yet, but hoping someone may be able to give some ideas. Hope it improves for you though

Hi, I have that feeling too, most days, WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF NEUROLOGICAL FUNCTIONAL DISSORDER!!!! My right side was sometimes being pulled downward, so when i went out i used to fall into peoples hedges!!- this got to be so often that we laugh about it now, Please try not to stress(I know it is easy to say) TRY TO GO WITH IT-think to yourself- I don;t care about any body else looking at me. I have had FND for 5 years, now I live with it. No work any more. But what you must do is report all your syptoms to the social services, they can help you vastly. Over the last 5 years my life has changed so much. Want to write more but it will take up loads of space. Please try to go with it.

Am sending you a big hug XX

Thank you so much. Your message is very up lifting. Iv been a sufferer for years. But only just got the diagnosis last week.

We do tend to laugh about some of my symptoms. I could be in mid conversation when what I was talking about just ups and leaves! Not a clue to what I was saying.

I was in the co-op just before Christmas. Shop was packed. I was with my 14 year old when I just lost my balance. Nothing to do but to go with it! I literally knocked this huge shelf over!! Everything went in different directions and me in the middle of all the chaos! The cashier made a comment that I was drunk!! Talk about embarrassing!

I feel this hazy heavy feeling I started to feel it a couple months ago. As if I was high but I am totally lucid and right in the head but just a feeling, I think thats what youre feeling too maybe. I take medications, but none are a cure just sometimes its nice to associate my good days with the medications and say yah Ill keep taking them..

And that feeling would be there when I took this med called klonopin. I also take antidepressants even though I wasn't depressed before all this. So when I really stayed away from taking it even when I have problems, the feeling started to go away. I havent felt it really since.

But everyday is "what will happen today?" day. The feeling isnt fun I know I am 14 years off drugs and getting high and drunk, and I love myself and have self-respect enough not to even think of enjoying a high feeling. Even though an occasional beer 32 oz is my tea. Take the edge off and level out.

My head feeling has stayed away from not taking certain meds so im not sure if you take meds or not but when you have a moment i suggest to think and analyze the recent past and see where the pattern or trend started. Like how I saw how the meds were a factor and my diet is also another.

Anything more than twice is a pattern! as defined by law enforcement, court, and health care.

What diet do you follow?

in reply to

I follow a regimental diet of high protein high carbohydrate. I also eat fruit and vegetables in my meals but they arent in a perfect portion. No one eats perfect. I weigh 165 and have a high physically demanding occupation.

So in short my input is as the same as my output. If I experience that hazy feeling I try to see if I have not eaten the same in the past few days. Some yes some no.

Have u or some one else experience this?
