Has anyone out there have knowledge of gene alteration to remove the conversion disorder gene from causing distressing symptoms

Are there any doctors out there that may do this

FND is not a psychological disorder and there has been no proof that it is linked to genetics.

I think there may be some confusion in what has been read on the net here. As far as I understand it, the neurologists are investigating as many avenues as they can, including a genetic predisposition being one of many possible contributing factors that end up causing the disorder.

If, in fact, a specific gene is ever even found to cause fnd, which is unlikely on its own. It is still early days as far as having the ability to actually "switch off" a gene.

The research is more likely to find other causes and/or a combination of risk factors.
