Seizures - weird

Hi. I'm just gonna throw this one out here. I take several pro-longed whole body seizures per day. A fairly newish sensation going into and during the seizure is the awful feeling that something is trying to get out of my body - think John Hurt and Alien 😱. Now we all know the crap medics we've encountered who just think we are nuts so I've never raised this with my Consultant. Has anyone else experienced this? And I'm not converting past trauma because I feel that idea of FUNCTIONAL seizures being dissociative belongs alongside Hippocrates wondering womb explanation. Cheers Lou x

Hi,

You can learn to control the seizures (PNES) from some to all seizures or you will never be able to control them. First off, you should read up the type of seizure you are having. You will have to figure out if there are triggers and how to manage them. I have a lot of seizure and know what some of the triggers are. Best wishes!
