I am in the suffering majority. That is, the 89% of 'us' who reported that feeling anxious is our top priority. Not so good, is that 89% of us feel etc....
What to do? Can't turn off the feelings. So I write. I try and support and encourage. I have hope of an improvement. I will get better.
Currently trying mindfulness (varying results), deep breathing and my Buddhist practice. Still have the eeby-jeebies almost daily.
Now more physio on the horizon. For the terror attacks on my psyche I am thinking about 'alternative' remedies.

Hi Robert, have you had a chance to watch the YouTube video I posted about the other day yet? It's called My Functional Neurological Disorder Recovery Story by Jamie Lacelle. The intensive physio she underwent was all about occupying the mind while walking, such as carrying a beaker of water without spilling any, or balancing something on your head, or stepping over obstacles on the floor. You probably did such things when you went to physio, and of course she had 9 weeks worth! But her improvement was so dramatic, it really gives you a boost! My lovely son is devising a programme for me while I wait for my physio at St George's! It takes a lot of courage doesn't it to keep working at it, so it helps sometimes to have encouragement from others. Take care, Dot
Sitting in Pembrokeshire. Walking good today but sun hot. I will look up the video suggested. When I had my 5-day physio with Glenn, I had a very bad fall (boy, was I ever bruised!) when trying to carry a jug of water. I still get the wobbles carrying anything. Bt I keep trying! Obstacles are just that, even a little ridge between rooms throws me off.
