My husband is,diagnosed 2009,2 operations, mitomycin then numerous BCG immunotherapy treatments, told cancer free 2011,now has yearly cystoscopy checks, next one this sat4th June fingers crossed all will be ok.Ironically I have been recently diagnosed with 2cm tumour and various inflamed patches,I'm due for aTURBT operation 7th June,I can only hope my outcome mirrors my husband as I am his carer,he has Parkinson's and mild dementia, type 2 diabetes, and has suffered 2 heart attacks and various mini strokes,I can't even put it into words how I feel at the moment, but best wishes to you and all other sufferers xxx

Yes and no. I was cancer free for 10 years before I had a recurrence. Then I had multiple high grade recurrences over 2 years in spite of BCG. As a result, I chose to have a radical cystectomy. That was 3 years ago.

Never stop surveillance!
