Can Radiotherapy cause lymphoedema?

Hi,

My 65 year old brother has just been diagnosed with low mass, low grade prostate cancer. He's awaiting an MRI scan. I spoke to someone the other day whose husband was diagnosed with the same thing a few years ago and opted to have radiotherapy without surgery. She said that he's been left with lymphoedema in his arm. Can this happen (the prostate's a long way from the arm)?

Has anyone got any thoughts or comments
