Hi there hope everyone's good, Patrick got his results today and good news his MRI and bone scan have come back clear so hopefully his cancer is just in his prostate, he's on the list to have it removed hopefully in the next 4 to 6 weeks.
My thoughts are with everyone . April x

No he was not in the right category for removal so just radiotherapy and hormone treatment. Good news though that it has not spread. My husband's scans also came back clear which was a great relief. Apparently the hormone treatment reduces the chances of cancer growth and although hubby suffers with hot flushes he has tolerated it all very well. The trick with radiotherapy according to our specialist is to stay hydrated, no caffeine drinks and up to 3 litres yes litres of water a day during treatment and then to ensure hydration for life to keep bowel region working. Hubby developed liking for nettle tea and other herbal non caffeine teas so that worked out for him.

Hi there, Patrick got his letter for his pre opp today it's on the 12th just hoping his operation date will follow soon, glad to hear your hubby doing well it's nice to hear about the good news it keeps things positive. best wishes xx
