I'm in a mess and can't pay other bills and getting final demand letters. What can I do I've phoned them and told them the problems I'm facing with dwp but they don't seem to care. hi was having same problems last year in the end I got in touch with the Community Law Service. They made us an appointment and they were a God send after going though all the previous things including appealing they helped me and I won my appeal after waiting 6 months and also if you need help with equipment etc get in touch with the Community OT. They were a great help too. I hope this will help you too. Take great care <3
3 months for an appeal, have you not heard from them at all? This seems as if something has gone awry. Try calling them, if no joy, then certainly CAB/Welfare rights officer or failing that your local Councillor/MP.
With regard to your other bills, if they are not statutory, ie. rent, council tax, gas, electric, water, tv licence, then write to the others, be honest and ask for their advices, that you are not deliberately not pauing but because of the situation you are in at the moment unable to pay. Also if you have had any ppi claim on that or claim it back. Good luck x x x
Thanks all for help and information . I've been cab and sent appeal in to dwp so I kno it's been sorted as have to send sick notes in every month. I've been told its taking 18 months to get to the appeal courts.ive never heard of community ot. What's that about. Cheers all
Hello Andy. It made me both very sad and angry when I read your post. I'm so sorry that you're in such a tight situation. Please ask for help from the above organisations mentioned by the helpful people above. There are people who will help you to find ways through.
