I was diagnosed two months ago and was in the pain clinic within two weeks and the pain consultant was brilliant. He sorted me out with meds without having to go down the actual pain killer route. He's also referred me for physio with the pain clinic, acupuncture, hydrotherapy and CBT for fibro pain management with pain clinic psychologist. I couldn't ask for more really. I forgotten which site it is on but my neuro had me look on it as there's a list of fifty nine fibro symptoms (of which I have 47),a lot of which replicate neuro conditions including MS so don't worry too much about that til you know for sure. I have Neurosarcoidosis and for eighteen months my neuro thought it was out of remission because of my symptoms but couldn't understand why my brain scans and LP's hadn't changed from last ones. He had me on strong meds and was about to do a brain biopsy when my Rheumy diagnosed fibro and it was like a light bulb went on in my neuro's head lol... Thank God! Take care and welcome! XXX

ok thanks, ye im on alot of pain relief dhydracodene and prgablin, i ,have c.o.p.d so exercise is out,because of my breathing.ye i have bad memory loss but been in pain a long time. but thanks

i was diagnosed 4 years ago now by rheumotoligy and have been sent to pain clinics about 4 times.. because my doc got me on all the meds i can take they keep saying there is nothing else they can do.. but every so often a doc at my clinic keeps sending me lol.... anyway, hope ur having a better day than i am... i am so depressed at moment and thats making my fibro worse xx

awe thank you, yes the rhumatoligy sending me to 1 just hope they aint gonna try and talk the pain away, as this pain is seriousley affecting my life.
