Its called Boor Rock in a sleepy little village where we come from. My friends father and a friend stayed on the rock that gets almost submerged by the loch depending on tides. They had to get airlifted off due to the weather condition but they raised alot of money for the local cancer charity. My friend has always been determined to do it following in her fathers footsteps and she feels helpless as a friend because she cant do anything to help me and this awful condition so she wants to do something for fybro and cancer.

She isnt allowed to do much without protective weather/waterproof/safety gear and she nor i have got the money to pay for it so i was looking for any advice at all xxxxxx

This all sounds so interesting until I get to the word 'dangerous' lol. And then I read on to discover it gets almost submerged and I am feeling a bit edgy. Not because of the rock, but because of the water. I have a fear of deep water that I never used to have. It happened when I got excited about seeing the Onyx submarine in dock in Barrow whilst on holiday about 5 years ago and I rushed towards the railings to get a closer look across the very very deep watered dock. As I got to the railings it was like the dark green water came rushing up to meet me and I was terrified, the woman who used to swim in the sea in Liverpool(Waterloo) you know where thoose men statue things are. Now I caanot walk on a pier, even when the tide is out. I cannot look at a lake, or the sea or the ocean. Even if it is on tv I have to look away and the fear just rises in me which makes it hard to watch programmes filmed near water, like CSI Miami for instance(one of my favourites). I wish you well in this but I cannot offer advice as I would not know where to start, sorry xxxxx Lin
