Hello there Simon, great to have you back with us!

I tried to look up some info for you on interviewing a new carer and found the article below which gives useful tips regarding questions to ask and things not to say etc.

I hope it's useful to you, if we can help in any way, just ask, we are always only too happy to help where we can.

Take care and I hope you find a new carer soon to make your life that little bit easier. :)

Simon, I have worked in care all my life, as a carer, nurse then care manager. I don't know if your new carer will be live-in or not, or female or male. The most important thing to consider is are they competent? Do they value your privacy, dignity, individuality? Do you actually like them? Are they friend or stranger? Have they had a CRB check? Are they experienced? Will they be there whenever you need them, no matter what time of day or night? There are a lot of things to consider when finding a new carer. Please don't choose the first one you meet. Good luck XX

Hia,

Do you not have some one you know who could be your carer.

Sometimes some one you know can be a good a carer as one who holds the Qualifications.

I understand this as i am around people daily .

X hope you find the rite one, its not all about what they do its communication and 'natural' nature to do things without wrking like a Robot.

Xxxxxhugs xx
