Anyone had a fizzing feeling in their brain?

I've had Fibro for 10 years, diagnosed for 3. I've had 2 MRIs both showed 4 lesions which are benign. Neurologists ruled out MS as they are the wrong shape. But they both couldn't give me any answers about what they were affecting. I have a range of symptoms which come and go, but painful limbs is permanent. I get migraines sporodically but in the past 6 weeks I've had 3 episodes of what I can only describe as fizzing in my head. In the top of my head on the right hand side. Each episode has lasted 5 mins and I can't do anything when it is happening. It feels like that space dust sweet which pops in your mouth in my head. Its terrifying and my GP can't give me any answers. I have had 4 episodes of temporary paralysis in the past but not for about 12 months. I'm scared and worried. Has anyone else ever had anything like this? Thanks

Hi Josie.

Yes, i had this all the time before I was diagnosed and started medication. It was a very strange feeling and yes, you have described it well. It seems to have stopped for me now but I also suffer from very bad migraines several times a month. I manage if they are at the weekend but during the week is tough when I am trying to work.

Hope you get to the bottom of it

M xx

Hi

I had that fizzy headed feeling many years ago. I think mine was down to my brain over-working trying to understand and cope with difficult emotions as it stopped at a particular time in therapy and now it only returns very mildly when I'm stressed.

I had migraines all through my teens and twenties, and would bang my head against the wall in an effort to stop the pain. They disappeared completely once I felt safe in therapy and since then I haven't had even a mild headache!

Probably there are lots of different physical and psychological causes of both symptoms, I just think they are both signs that the brain is having to work hard to cope, so both signs of stress!.

I hope yours ease,

Suexx
