Well its my birthday today and a few envelopes off the postman.. Yep my brown one was there off DLA saying i had been turned down its a wonder they didnt sign it with happy birthday paula lol. Really spoilt my day xx

Hi Paula happy birthday.... I see so many people on here being refused dla ... I only get lowest care and only cos I have arthritis in both knees one ankle and both hands... They ignore the fibro... If you have other conditions apart from fibro have you tried putting them first... Just to get what you deserve? I don't get any mobility but do have a disabled bus pass that gives me free bus travel for 5 years cos I can't drive any more due to meds arthritis and fibro.

hi grumpy yes i have osteoarthritis in the back, bulging discs and degenerative of the lower back which i have just had results back last week saying the lower back and the discs are getting worse and nothing they can do for me, I also have ME and depression,iam on oral morphine and other painkillers for this, i think i have 1 n a half good days in a week so iam really peed off and have my esa appeal next month which iam going to take my 17y old son with me cause HE will tell them how iam day to day, i too have the bus pass. xx

Hi Paula, Are you aware that they turn down approx 80% of 1st time claims, so it is definitely worth while taking it to appeal. They also look for certain words when they read through the apps. If you haven't done it already, It might be worth while getting the C.A.B., to help you. Good luck x

keep going back to DLA it took me 1st refusal then I asked someone else to look at it then a review and then I said I would go to appeal and then after 6 weeks before the appeal I got it I got higher rate mobility no care but thought I would settle for what I had got and I have just had it renewed for 2 years so keep trying, they love to spoil your days .

Hope you had a nice birthday anyway dont let them spoil it (((soft hugs )))))

HI Paula, Happy belated birthday for yesterday, please appeal against the decision hun. I applied 4 years ago and they turned me down......I had broken my back!! lol I also have what you have now and the fibro as well so please please appeal and tell them exactly how you are, It can be embarrassing I know, I had to put everything on the line about how I have serious issues with my bowel and bladder, the doc at the dal tribunal could not believe I had been turned down with all the evidence the dla had from hospital/docs etc. The Dla also said they did not have a copy of the MRI scans ............until I pointed out that on page 163 there was a letter from them sending back the MIRI disc and the findings...... Good luck chick and chin up xxx
