After 3 weeks of zoplicone to help me sleep i have not been getting out of bed till 11-12 every day, even though i take my pill at 10

Hi

I had the same problem when taking amitryptilline even if i took it at 7 or 8pm. I was told to try taking it earlier in the day so i tried around 5 but still felt sleepy although not as bad. I eventually settled on around 2-3pm. Im tired by 10ish and can go to sleep.

Unfortunately, ie had to stop taking it recently as i had a reaction and dont take anything at the moment, which isnt easy. Im at the doctors today so ill ask her what else i can do. Ive had a bad case of gastritis recently which has meant even less sleep as i couldnt take my meds and was in alot of pain so i hope there is something i can do. Ive got a 6 and a 5yr old to cope with and im whacked already lol

I dont know if taking your meds earlier would help as we are all different. Its just what worked for me. I would advise you to run this past your gp first and see what they say

hi chilli50 :), lol i had the same problem with amitryptilline sleepy all day, so changed to zoplicone will have to change again me thinks I don't know how you cope with fibro and two kiddies i do feel for you hun xxxx sending soft hugs your way

Maybe you ate on a higher mg and you need to lower

It are you on 3mg or 7mg

hi thanks for your reply, i am on 7mg but sometimes they don't work and i am awake all night. shall go back to GP and ask for some thing else, soft hugs vivien xx

Oh my, i was adivsed to take Zopiclone only if i really needed them as they are quite addictive. my doc will only prescribe them every 3 months or so, but each case is different i suppose.

Sometimes they work and i get a good night sleep, other times i wake after a couple of hours, a real pest when i think it's about 8 and it's 2 lol.

Are there any other meds that might be knocking you out, i'm led to believe these tabs are only really to send you to sleep, not like the old style sleeping tabs that rendered you unconscious.

you could try lowering the dose and see how you go..if not back to the docs for a medicines check maybe.

hi..i had same sort of problems,zonked out the next day,like a hangover feeling {i dont drink}..new doctor gave me phenergan tablets..i find half a tablet works well,and was told they arent addictive,so thats a bonus..take care x
