Does anyone know anything about D.Ribose. It's supposed to help your muscles mend after use and is recommended for FM sufferers.

It naturally occurs in the body but not in ours, that's why our muscles ache all the time.

Actually, it's a simple carbohydrate. Our bodies do produce this as part of the energy cycle, but there are theories, usually focused on CFS/ME, that this doesn't work properly and is part of the cause of fatigue.

It isn't a treatment for Fibro itself, but may help some people's energy levels.

Hi, I've been trying D-Ribose (got them in H&B buy one get one for a penny) on their information booklet she read that it can be used for persons with CFS/ME and is also a sports supplement. It recommends on pack taking upto 6 a day - I take a couple together now and again and I'm glad I got them - though difficult to tell what effects they may have as I haven't taken 6 a day which I'm going to start doing.
