My nails keep splitting! I know this a common symptom of FM. Has anyone found anything which may help?

Mine are the same so I take a Vitamin D and Calcium supplement that seems to work I also use Sally Hansen maximum growth nail varnish and that has helped me. Tryit and see how it goes I also file my nails now instead of cutting them stops them splitting

I always had beautiful long nails, always perfectly manicured and varnished. In fact they were the only asset I had. Now, no matter how short they split and flake off. The bits I have are bendy and less than paper thin. Assume this is just another unfortunate side effect of fm.

i used to have lovely ,long , strong nails now mine are so weak and split . I only tapped my hand on my bedside cabinet yesterday and one of my nails broke so far down , why would our nails be effected by fm?

i agree about the thyroid i have an undercative thyroid and my nails are terrible and never used to be before my thyroid condition.my doctor just says its another thing i have to live with !!!1 CHARMING :)x
