Hi everyone I am new on here ! So just thought I would say Hi! I have had fibro for 7 years now and had to finish my job as a lecturer (nurse). I have also got to go for an Atos medical on Thursday too, not sure how it will go and feeling nervous like everyone else. It makes you feel so low when you have to sit there and explain how bad you are, when you appear to look ok.... I hate moaning, but thats how you feel when you have to to make people understand the condition of Fibromyalgia, as there are no lab tests to prove you have it! However as we all know it is very real! Would love to hear form anyone who feels the same. x

Hope goes well for you. I had mine on Friday and haven't got over it yet. I actually feel traumatised by the whole situation. I have worked for 40 years but suddenly feel as if I am a workshy scrounger.

As my doctor said "don't take it personally" - easy for her to say.

Hi Twinnie, welcome aboard,I haven`t had to go through what you have looming ahead of you but just remeber everything is on your worst day possible.

No make up not even a smear of lippie. You have picked a good site to join. You can rant and rave and even find you have a gigle at times.

But we are all to some exstent or other in the same boat.

So again welcome hun soft hugs to you xx

Tell them you cannot walk over 20 metres without stopping, you cannot move from one chair to another without holding on to something, if they ask you to move your arms above head say you can't cos you on pain now, you can't pick small items up etc, tell them you struggle to get dressed, don't wear buttons or lace up shoes, if possible, in the waiting room keep shuffling on chair as you are been monitored, walk slowly to room when called n really act ad if it's your worse day, ask at beginning that they know about fibro, tell them

You got a lift n had to stop en route so you could move for 5 mins, n good luck xx
