Just got off the phone with a nice NHS phone handler, been waiting to get an appointment for non fibro issue for nearly 1 year. (oesophagus)
They said "It's a long wait, If you need to speed things up ask the GP for an "Expedited letter"" - so...from routine to urgent. I will ring GP when they come off their lunch break!🥪😂
I do ask that you request this legitimately!👍😘
With love, Health.

I've also been told this and did ask the gp for a expedited letter, sadly she said in her experience the consultants just ignored these letters so it was unlikely to help?
I did get seen eventually but it took 2 and half years and that's after I had a dexter scan revealing I had severe spinal fractures in four of my vertebrae. In the end we contacted PALS, I think that's the only resean I got seen in the end.
I do hope the notes are typed up quickly by your surgery and emailed acrossed too the Consultant, we’ve done this at our surgery and we have found matters have been chased up ,so hopefully as it’s been a year now things will move forward for you., The NHS can be back logged at the best of times with appointment s but I really hope this moves things forward for you, take care .
