hi can anyone advise please

a few times a day or at night I get random crushing pains across chest or like a vice across arms crushing them into shoulders then right hand fingers then it’s like my sight brightness level is turned up for 10-15mins and at same time hearing is more sensitive.

once this passes have to goto bed and rest as feel wiped out.

have you had this experience and what can help?

Thank you 🙏

Hi there, may I ask do you suffer from anxiety or panic attacks? My panic attacks make me feel like you describe. And it definitely makes me feel wiped out after.

I would say its not a fibro symptom. Just because the chest pain is so short in duration. If it was costochondritis for example it would last more than 15 mins.

Hi there, yes I can understand that. Have you tried CBT for the anxiety. For me it was very helpful.

Thank you for reply and advice. I tried it before and it was more difficult to wake up took the whole morning lol could try it again in the hope of a different result.

I have tried it a few times. But I will say it all depends on the person you see. Some seem to have better understanding than others.

I always stress I would prefer to speak with someone in their late 30s early 40s or older for example. I also stress I prefer to see a man. I was always offered an appointment time to suit my needs. Like you I just don't do mornings. Maybe something to think about.

We would spend more time choosing a favourite restaraunt than a CBT therapist. This is partly down to NHS options but the point I am trying to get to is that a "bad" restaurant does not stop us eating out and it takes a number of visits to find a good or favourite one. So see if you can find a "favourite" CBT therapist :)
