Hi - I was turned down by two points and so asked for a mandatory consideration, this was rejected as well so i put in an appeal. The DWP response to my appeal went to the panel and myself on the 11 Jan 24. My original claim was last year Feb!
I was just wondering if anyone can tell me roughly how long after my actual Tribunal will be? Because the letter says it can take several weeks but i am reading its actually more like months on the internet, i am in Oxfordshire) I am not attending it would be too stressful mentally and physical.
I also wondered do the panel look at all the I information provided at the start and can they change the amount of points or do they only look at the topic you appealed because i think i misunderstood and didn't appeal all of the points as i thought they would be re looked at automatically, i am now worried that they will think i agree with the things didn't challenge.

HiI was like you turned down for my PIP by 2 points. I went to M. R. which got the same decision. I my opinion it was obvious they did not look at it. I took it to appeal. It never went to court as it came back with standard daily living and standard mobility. I do remember it took quite a while.
If yours does go to the courts try not to worry as anything you think you have missed off you will be able to say. You do get a voice.
Please reconsider your decision not to attend the tribunal as statistics prove that those who participate, whether face to face, by phone or videocall do tend to get a much more positive outcome. It actually helps the tribunal if they can directly ask you questions and also see for themselves how you are struggling physically and mentally. It is much less formal than a normal court would be. Also, you can continue to submit further information to the tribunal right up to the hearing if you wish and I would advise you to do so as the tribunal will look at every part of your application so it is in your interests to cover everything you have disagreed with. If you haven't done so already, phone PIP and ask for the medical assessors report to be sent to you. It is shocking just how many people report serious inaccuracies have been noted down . You can then go through it and state any discrepancies and advise the tribunal accordingly. Some people will get an offer from the DWP before the hearing goes ahead so it is very much worth your while to write as full a response as possible setting out why you believe their decision is wrong. Evening rcht, Have you checked on the benefit calculator to see where you think they have gone wrong? Try not to worry, I know easier said then done,But as you already must know this whole thing will put you off your feet, Nobody wants that for a member of the Fibro family,
Are you near a carers centre? They will support you and help you through the procedure, CAB are the one's to have as well,
Please try to attend, It might be stressful but you'll know why they didn't think you got the points you did and you can say your piece,
Another good thing is your payments might get paid from the date you put your claim in if it all goes well,
