Hi Rogan, that's a dificult one with you working night shifts. Most people not working nights tend to take this type of med early evening. From reading past comments they found taking it earlier in the evening reduces morning side effects for most people.

What strength have you been prescribed may I ask? The best person qualified to answer your question would be your local pharmacist. This is their specialist field medication is what they train in.

The only other thing maybe to try taking it in a morning after the night shift when you go to bed. But no one can guarantee you wouldn't get any side effects going into your night shift. Yes I would definitely have a chat with the pharmacist. Good luck and I hope you manage to get it sorted out soon.

Hi I couldn't work shifts for the Police in the end as I tried to take a smaller dose at the start of my night shift but it left me too groggy. I made the stupid mistake once of taking it when I came off shift at 7am and was dozing off driving home! I did nothing but work nd sleep, I was like a zombie!

I got put on 10pm till 3am and took it when I got home which helped, but then told I the times weren't working for the team🤷🏻so left fir snother job. Hoping they'll wear off during 3-4hrs sleep in my experience, could leave you feeling very groggy and spaced out.

Good luck xx

I find on the two early mornings I go to work, I take about 10mg tablet at about 8 oclock, anything more I'm really groggy at work, and zombie like. When I'm not working I take a bigger dose, which I can sleep off. It really helps me achieve some sleep for longer periods. It's a tricky one when you work nights. Hope you can find a solution xx

It's a bit of a puzzle

I'm to ill to have a job unfortunately,

I can tell you though I am on 100mg a night ,around 10 o'clock I make sure every thing electrical is off,My pillows are plumped, I'm super relaxed and ready for some zzz's?

I thought I'd had at least a 2hr kip, It was 20mins, So I have to do the same all over again!

I'll try reading a chapter or two Or some knitting,

I eventually dozed of at about 4am and was up at 7, All I want is a good 6-8hrs sleep.

I know how you feel ♥️ you think you will get a good night sleep, but no!!!! It's the chronic fatigue the next day after hardly any sleep that really gets me down, and it usually starts up the fibro pain even worse. I'm thinking of leaving work soon, as I'm getting exhausted, even though it's only two days. Hope you get a good night sleep soon.xx
