Hi everyone, my name is Carole and I just wanted to introduce myself having been diagnosed with fibromyalgia August this year.

To say this was a shock is an understatement as I already have a number of health conditions to deal with. However, it wasn’t all a negative, as part of me felt a relief that I wasn’t imagining the pain I felt or the overwhelming tiredness I get, amongst other things.

I have been perusing the site since I joined and have found some of the posts helpful, in that I can relate to what my fellow sufferers are going through. The site has brought me comfort and a sense of camaraderie knowing that I’m not alone on this awful journey.

So I thank you all very much for setting up, maintaining and contributing to this amazing safe place where you all understand what having fibromyalgia means to daily life.

Sending lots of love and hugs to everyone who writes and reads posts for your support and encouragement when things get very dark indeed. You are all amazing 🥰
