fibromyalgia right dosage?: hi i’ve... - Fibromyalgia Acti...
fibromyalgia right dosage?
You would need to discuss dosage with your gp if you feel it is not working for you. There is no right dosage as everyone is different
I take 120mg a day, 60mg in the morning and 60mg in the evening x
Hiya, I'm the same as you. Recently diagnosed and on Duloxetine. Im wondering if we will always be chasing the dose up until we hit the max and then swapping medications and starting again. Not to mention the withdrawal every time we come off one 😏. Sounds like those on Duloxetine are on higher doses so no harm in speaking to your doctor if you want to try higher dose. I'm not sure if I do 😏 X
Differently phone your GP for a call back if you cannot get in straight away for an appointment, I take 60mg in morning and the same again at night , I hope things settle down for you again once you’ve caught up with the GP xx
Hi yes, it may be a case they need to increase it still. Also they can put you on muscle relaxants mine is gabapentin, also naproxen helps , I hope you get it sorted
I'm on 90mg 3 times a day, after having a major flare before Xmas which just didn't go away. I do occasionally miss one if I'm having a good day - discussed this with my Doc and he is fine with that. I've not needed any painkillers since going onto 90mg.
Hope you get your balance right soon - gentle hugs x
hi I’m on 60mg of duloxetin, I recently asked the gp if I could up the dose due to pain and was told that is the highest dose
thankyou everyone for your comments that has given me something to think about, really appreciate you all x
definitely speak to your gp about it as there could be something else like muscle relaxants that could be more helpful. Duloxetine does help but it’s extremely difficult to come off if things change so I would just be aware of that xx
i was already on steraline so was told changing to duloxetine was a simple change over and it seemed to work really well, i’m reluctant to take other things like painkillers as i’m up really early for work so wasn’t recommended amitriptyline as it apparently can wipe you out in the mornings, i love excercise and it really frustrates me when i can’t get to the gym or for a swim because i’m just too tired and full of pains, so i don’t know what else i can do or try
going to ring my gp today to see if i can up the dosage of duloxetine, had a rotten sleep, night sweats nightmares anxiety, pains in neck and back and the ibs has returned, what’s frustrating is that i was feeling really great and full of hope and now all the symptoms have come back, i’m feeling like a 90yr old women not a 42yr old it’s so hard this condition will i ever get back to myself again
