I find that heat helps when pain is really bad, that and my weighted blanket xxx
I hope the paracetamol helped.Insomnia is one of my most hated symptoms, the pain makes it worse , and then the lack of sleep causes more pain , a nasty vicious circle.
Have you discussed this with the GP?
Have you tried any other medications that might help you sleep or help the pain?
A large U bend pillow , as long as yourself , can really help cushion you in a position that helps you sleep , you can also raise your feet and lower legs on the ends to reduce nightie neuropathy and restless legs.
Heat pads on your lower back can also ease your pain making it easier to sleep.
It's worth trying to work out which parts of the body hurt the most and finding ways to ease them before bed or support them.
Head , shoulder and neck pain can be eased by making sure you raise these areas on supportive pillows at a comfortable angle and resting the head and neck within a travel pillow laid on your normal pillows.
Hope it improves soon
Yes I found what you are saying yo be true. It's taken years and years to work out a lot of my nightly pain actually stems from hypermobility. I have very mobile shoulders and found since I've started strength training them specifically they hurt much less at night. I presume it's because they are not collapsing so much at night when I lie on my side, same for my lower back.
That is rely interesting yourshoud saythat. I have hypermobility, and i have to say my naibore is saying taake it easy but having been an athete and being in sports health and exercise muscle protects muscle so just gona have t walk through the pain for now i thinki
Yes I'm amazed it's taken me so long to work it out. I've always done a lot of sport, like you, and I have I would say I have slightly over formed biceps etc, for a girl if you no what I mean. But I get a lot of back injuries and my spine is a bit sclerotic. Just after the last lockdown I had a back injury and decided I was going to pay for physio because I've hurt it loads of times before and the nhs physios never seem to help. I'm glad I did bc I've been doing the back exercises they gave me for over a year now, but I kept hurting my shoulders doing the back exercises so he taught me how to stabilise them so it wouldn't keep happening. After that I noticed I had less pain at night. I've always had winging shoulder blades but I didn't think that growing stabilizing muscles could reduce pain while lying down but it does seem to because if I stop doing them bc I'm too ill the pain at night gets worse again. Plus I haven't had a back injury since too.
People always say "listen to your body" but personally I don't or i'd never do anything! We need a diffetent type of listening I think.
ye it is quite amazing what stobelizers caqn do. I think it is i have lost so much muscle its make it worse. However, re building is gons be like walking through hell. but i dont see any other way.
