Have you signed up yet? There will be a recording for those that have registered if you cannot be there for the whole day. rsm.ac/3zev59U

As a retired healthcare professional with an interest in fibromyalgia, I would certainly be interested in this in order to learn more. However, for myself & fibro sufferers, it would seem difficult to register as the options given for non-members are all geared towards the RSM.

It also appears that you have to have registered to later see a recording of this webinar. If this is the case, it seems a shame that patients are expected to pay a fee, which may be unaffordable, to gain useful info & insight. It does state that some info 'may' later be shared.

Even if I could register, & none of the options are applicable, if I was able to watch it later, Zoom isn't accessible to me as I use Linux as an operating system. I'll likely be in the minority, but all platforms should be considered, & perhaps other options given to make this accessible to all.

We are a partner in this but it is run by the RSM so not totally in our control. We did discuss the price with the community previously and is £10. It is the RMS website and system that requires you to register as you have to for any of their events and you select non member with the price mentioned.

Zoom is available on a lot of flavours of Linux not least ubuntu or mint but also if you have a phone then it would run on that as well. Whenever you try to put on an event you cannot find a solution that pleases everyone.

As a tiny charity representing our diverse community it is great to be able to put on an event like this that a health professionals and people within the community can benefit from.

Thank you for your kind reply. I find that in clicking on non-member twice it comes up with 'non healthcare professional;' OK, I'll go with that, & willing to pay £10, but am unable to register. Again it may be a Linux problem (mine is Debian based, so should work with Ubuntu, tho just to mention most Linux users don't find Zoom favourable).

Would appreciate your help in being able to register.

browsers across platforms are fairly agnostic and should work . I registered with chrome previously and then then went tot he event and was able to select the correct option.

Again on the platform issue we have no control as it is being run by RSM and like you say non MAC linux users will be a very small minority.

I can’t attend but the info would be good, got WiFi issues, so £10 bit much

Thank you - I find I can now register. I would hope to attend on the day, as have previously downloaded the appropriate Linux version of Zoom, & also tried it in my browser, & unfortunately neither worked, so watching later seems an unlikely option.

So, one last question, if I may. Do you know what platform the webinar will use on the day, &, more appropriately, will this be accessible to a Linux user? I appreciate this webinar will be run by the RSM, & you have no control over this, so it may not be possible to accommodate me, but would hope to be able to attend.

this is the info on the recording option for those that were interested: "This webinar is available for on-demand viewing. The webinar recording will be available for registered event participants up to 60 days after the live webinar broadcast via Zoom. The link will be sent 3 days after the webinar takes place. "
